Music BC and SKOOKUM festival organizers are taking submissions from British Columbia-based performers starting today for select performance slots at this year’s inaugural festival. SKOOKUM 2018 already has a heavy BC influence but in a bid to further showcase homegrown talent, over the next three weeks, bands from this province will have the opportunity to show that they have what it takes to take the stage alongside some of the most renowned bands in the music scene.

“Music BC is thrilled to be partnering with SKOOKUM this year to present even more talent across our province,” said Lindsay MacPherson, Program Manager of Music BC. “This is a tremendous opportunity to perform in front of a local crowd and among some of the most notable names in contemporary music today.” “Music BC is one of the best resources for any band who lives in BC. They have helped us through the years play amazing shows, provide funding for tours & marketing, connect with other bands, and provide so much support. It is amazing to see all the bands they have supported and help break them into the music industry,” said Drew McTaggart of Dear Rouge.
