The Music BC Enewsletter is an informative weekly newsletter keeping you up to date and informed on the world of music and the music industry in British Columbia.

Full of information on funding/festival deadlines, upcoming concerts and shows, industry news, upcoming Music BC events and programs, and more, the Music BC Enewsletter is a must for those that want to stay current with the British Columbia music scene.

• Submissions

Music BC members are welcome to submit event listings and announcements for the eNews. Priority is always given to members, and while we cannot always guarantee this service, we do strive to include all member announcements pending they were received by the deadline. Email submissions to newsletters@musicbc.org by Tuesday at midnight every week.

• Event & Show Listings

Email us the artist name, website, date, venue, city, and genre to newsletters@musicbc.org

• Member News

Send us a BRIEF blurb (short paragraph) regarding your announcement and website to newsletters@musicbc.org

• Classified Ads

Send us a BRIEF announcement with the appropriate contact info to newsletters@musicbc.org

• Featured Artist and Business Applications

Want to be considered for a member-of-the week spot on the Music BC Website and e-Newsletter? Have a look at the requirements below and send us what you got! We have two sections: Featured Artist, and Featured Business.

Rules:
1) Must be a current paid member of Music BC
2) Artist can be selected no more than once per year
3) Priority will be given to artists with upcoming events or news to promote
4) Artist must have a Myspace or personal website page
5) Application does not guarantee inclusion, selection is at Music BC’s discretion.

How to Apply:
Send the following to info@musicbc.org
1) Artist or Business info and Music BC member number
2) Link to Myspace page or website
3) Send a banner of your band name & image to be used as a link. Banner specifics: Must be jpg or gif; 72 dpi resolution; 300px wide x 90px high; no gradients; no animated banners *** If you aren’t able to make one, you can still apply – send an image you might like included, but note the final appearance will be at our disression and will not be available for approval before use.***

• Featured Video Applications

The new Music BC website now also features a video of the week! We’d like to see member videos submitted, they can be music videos, live footage, or other music-related creativity, as long as they follow the requirements below:

Rules:
1) Must be music of a current paid member of Music BC
2) Artist can be selected no more than once per year
3) Video must be appropriate for ALL AGES – lyrically and visually
4) Video must be hosted by YouTube
5) Application does not guarantee inclusion, selection is at Music BC’s discretion.
6) You must have full permission to post this video. If you do not own the masters to the music in this video, or have rights to use the footage, we will not accept it.

How To Apply:
Send the following to info@musicbc.org
1) Artist info (Name, Website) and Music BC member number
2) Link to YouTube. DO NOT send actual video clip.
