- Donations Needed for Spring Valley Middle School
The Music BC Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce the Adopt An Instrument Program recipient is Springvalley Middle School in Kelowna, BC. Music BC is hoping to raise $7000 in funds in order to purchase new acoustic guitars for the school’s music program. Working together with the Springvalley Elementary school, both schools will work to share the guitars to develop a progressive guitar program.
The Music BC Charitable Foundation is calling on the community to support this program, through their donations, and their assistance in getting the word out about the program. Donations can be made directly to the Music BC Charitable Foundation. “We feel that there are probably thousands of instruments out there gathering dust that could bring joy to a child and ensure that music programs are not shut down” says Music BC Executive Director, Bob D’Eith. Music BC’s only requests with the new/ used instruments is that they are in good quality condition and are not in need of any repairs or tuning, and they are accompanied with a fair market value estimate. Music BC wants to ensure that these instruments are put to good use, and will not cost the organization or the school funds to repair the instruments.
