How to sign up for a membership:

There are several ways to sign up: pay online via Paypal or mail in a completed membership application form. You can also call or stop by our office, or sign up at any Music BC event. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Debit, Cash & Cheques. Membership prices shown include 12% HST.

Your membership is valid from date of payment.

MUSIC BC INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

The Music BC Individual Membership is for any individual who has a career in the music industry or for an individual who is looking to make a career in the music industry. Individual Membership provides all available Music BC membership privileges that help to keep members on top of the industry as a whole.

Discount Individual Membership

If you are a current member of CARAS, SAC, VMA, or the GCFC, you are eligible to receive a 15% discount on your individual membership. SOCAN membership does not qualify you for a Discount Music BC Membership.

In addition to stardard membership benefits, Individual members receive:

• - 1 Music BC membership card
• - 1 vote at the AGM and the Western Canadian Music Awards
• - Access for one act to any of the Music BC Music Assistance Program deadlines

MUSIC BC STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

Students receive a 50% discount on a Music BC Individual Membership (valid student ID must be provided upon request).

In addition to stardard membership benefits, Student members receive:

• - 1 Music BC membership card
• - 1 vote at the AGM and the Western Canadian Music Awards
• - Access for one act to any of the Music BC Music Assistance Program deadlines

MUSIC BC BAND MEMBERSHIP

The Music BC band membership is for any music band/group no matter what their experience with the music industry.

Please note: Band membership is only valid for performing members of the band (up to 5 members). Managers, roadies, promoters, girlfriends, etc. cannot have a membership under your Music BC Band Membership. Each member will receive a membership card, however one member must act as main contact for the band (only one mailing address will be accepted). Also, the band is restricted to apply for MAP only under that band name. No solo/side project applications will be accepted; they must acquire a separate membership in order to apply.

In addition to stardard membership benefits, Band members receive:

• - Up to 5 Music BC membership cards
• - 1 collective vote at the AGM and the Western Canadian Music Awards
• - Access for one act to any of the Music BC Music Assistance Program deadlines

MUSIC BC SILVER MEMBERSHIP

The Silver Music BC membership is ideal for the small label or management company.

In addition to stardard membership benefits, Silver members receive:

• - 2 Individual Memberships: 2 membership cards
• - 2 votes at the AGM and the Western Canadian Music Awards
• - Access for up to 5 artists to any of the Music BC Music Assistance Program deadlines
• - Company name and link under ‘Music BC Silver Members’ on the Music BC website

MUSIC BC GOLD MEMBERSHIP

Ideal for the medium-sized music industry company with 5 or more employees.

In addition to stardard membership benefits, Gold members receive:

• - 5 Individual Memberships: up to 5 membership cards
• - 5 votes at the AGM and the Western Canadian Music Awards
• - Access for up to 10 artists to any of the Music BC Music Assistance Program deadlines
• - Company name and link under ‘Music BC Gold Members’ on the Music BC website

MUSIC BC PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP

A Music BC Platinum Membership is ideal for a large company.

In addition to stardard membership benefits, Platinum members receive:

• - 10 Individual Memberships: up to 10 membership cards
• - 10 votes at the AGM and the Western Canadian Music Awards
• - Access for any number of artists to any of the Music BC Music Assistance Program deadlines
• - Company name and link under ‘Music BC Platinum Members’ on the Music BC website

Non-Profit Organization Membership

The Non-Profit Organization Membership provides a non profit organization with all the benefits of an Individual membership. Non-Profit Organization members receive all the benefits of a Individual Member with the exception of applying for MAP Programs. Music BC would like to offer reciprocal memberships to all Non Profits. Contact the Music BC office for more details.
