Hevy D and Post Media newspapers from across Canada are teaming up to feature upcoming Canadian talent! Music BC members are invited to submit their songs to be offered for free download, advertised online and in a weekly print ad.
The Post Media Playlist is a national media program involving the following newspapers:
- Vancouver Province
- Victoria Times-Colonist
- Edmonton Journal
- Calgary Herald
- Regina Leader-Post
- Saskatoon Star-Phoenix
- Ottawa Citizen
- Windsor Star
- Montreal Gazette
- National Post
Every Tuesday, each paper will promote one feature artists and 10 indie artists (as proposed by each MIA). Preference will be given to artists from their local area for each individual paper. Featured artists are the same across Canada.
Music BC reserves the right to filter submissions based on quality and content. Submission does not guarantee inclusion.
A few notes on the requirements:
- You must be a current Music BC member
- Your song should be master quality recordings, in Mp3 format
- Your photo should be high resolution, professional quality – and a minimum of 300 dpi, in jpg format
- You must print and sign THIS CONTRACT and then attach it to the form below OR fax it to 604-873-9686
- There is no set deadline – the sooner you apply the sooner you can be featured!

Attach a master version of your song in mp3 format, a bio (.doc Word format is preferred) and your photo (high res professional quality jpg!) and the contract to your email (contract can be faxed to 604-873-9686). Please try to send everything in one email.
