Thank you to everyone that applied! We had 98 applications come in this year. It was a very long and hard process for our jurors. It was a really hard decision as there were so many great applications!
UPDATE January 21st, 2008: Thank you to everyone who applied to Music BC's Songbird West. We received 94 applications this year. Music BC will be announcing the winner of Songbird West within the next 3 weeks.
Music BC is dedicated to creating opportunities for new BC talent. The Music BC Songbird West Songwriting
contest is a chance for amateur songwriters across BC to be discovered (or rediscovered!)
The Music BC Songbird West Songwriting Contest is designed to accomplish the following: 1) Recognize new and emerging songwriting talent in British Columbia
Nurture the musical talent of BC songwriters and promote the excellence in the art of songwriting. 2) Provide
and opportunity for aspiring songwriters to further their music careers and gain valuable recognition
and exposure in the music industry

There are two ways to submit an application for Songbird West!
1) ONLINE: Submit your songs online through Sonicbids! If you are not yet a Sonicbids member and want to submit online‚ visit www.sonicbids.com/songbirdwest and sign–up for the Sonicbids Combo Package (includes your submission AND a discounted Sonicbids membership). If you are already a Sonicbids member, log in to your Sonicbids account and visit the Promoter Drop Box to submit.
2) BY MAIL/DROP OFF:
