UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who applied to be on the 2008 Music BC Compilation CD. We received 47 applications! We appreciate your time and consideration in sending us your completed and thorough applications. With everyone paying attention to the details, and sending us all of the requested and completed documentation, the staff here at Music BC have been able to process all of the applications quite quickly. As this particular program has a very quick turn around time, our minimal staff greatly appreciated everyone's cooperation.

The applications will be adjudciated this week by an anonymous jury of music industry professionals representing the genres submitted. We hope to announce the artists who will be included on our compilation CD this week.

Successful applicants will have one track included in the Music BC MIDEM 2008 compilation at no charge to the applicant.This compilation will be made available at the MIDEM conference 2008 in Cannes, France, and also available at various Canadian Consulates. Applicants acknowledge that Music BC Industry Association may use the compilation CD following the MIDEM 2008 event to promote BC artists to international consulates, labels, Film/TV, publishers and other music industry companies.

MIDEM is the international music market from all genres for all professionals providing 5 days of business and networking marketplace in Cannes. This January, delegates from the recording, publishing, live, digital, mobile and branding sectors will gather in Cannes to do deals, network, learn and check out new talent.
