Music BC and The Cellar are proud to present: The Voice of the Cellar!

This contest focuses on developing BC songwriters performing as artists. 18 artists will be chosen to perform at a series of indie showcases hosted by The Cellar Nightclub. The group will be narrowed down to 6 (semi-finals) and then 3 (finals).

Over $20,000 worth of cash and prizes! See below for details.

Artists must be residents of BC and Music BC members to apply.

• 1st Place: $5,000 cash (subject to spending guidelines), Epiphone acoustic guitar DR-500MCE Vintage Sunburst (value $625), $500 equipment credit at Tom Lee Music, Tom Lee Music Hall Rental including tech support (worth $2000), Mix of one song by Paul Silveira at Armoury Studio (value $2000),  Sennheiser Gear (value $1000.00), position at Georgia Straight/Music BC CMW showcase Toronto 2013 (value priceless). Total cash and prizes $11,125.00

• 2nd Place: $3,000 cash (subject to spending guidelines), Epiphone Guitar DR-500MCE Vintage Sunburst (value $625),  $300 equipment credit at Tom Lee Music, Sennheiser Gear (value $500) Total cash and prizes $4,425.00

• 3rd Place: $2,000 cash (subject to spending guidelines), Epiphone Guitar DR-500MCE Vintage Sunburst (value $625),  $200 equipment credit at Tom Lee Music,Sennheiser Gear (value $500) Total cash and prizes $3,325.00

• All 6 semi-finalists will receive one year Music BC memberships (value $600)

• All 18 contestants will receive Tom Lee VIP Discount cards (15% off)

SHOWCASE INFO:

The showcases will run on 6 consecutive Wednesdays starting June 20^th at the Cellar Nightclub (1006 Granville St Vancouver).  Semi finals and finals will take place on August 3^rd, 10^th and 17^th.

Cover is free until 10:30!   Doors at 9, show at 9:30.
