Regina to Host BreakOut West in 2012

Regina, Saskatchewan has been named host for BreakOut West 2012- West Canadian Music Alliance’s annual celebration and recognition of the music industry in Western Canada. The event is set to take place September 26-30, 2012.

BreakOut West is a combination of a three-day music festival and industry conference, capped off by the Western Canadian Music Awards – an awards ceremony recognizing and honouring the best of Western Canadian talent in the music industry. The City of Regina, The Government of Saskatchewan, Regina Hotel Association, the Regina Regional Opportunities Commission, SaskMusic and everyone who sits on the host committee worked together to secure this great opportunity.

Kelowna’s Classic Rock – K96.3 and Music BC are very proud to announce the official launch of K Comp Vol. 2. Applications are now open for artists to apply to be part of the second installation of K96.3 and Music BC’s Okanagan emerging artist compilation.

Locally based emerging artists are invited to apply to be one of the 12 artists featured on the K Comp Vol. 2 which will be released in the fall of 2011. Rules and regulations along with the application form can be found at www.k963.fm.
